God of War Ragnarok and The Last of Us Part 2 are two of the most appreciated and acclaimed titles for the PlayStation console lineup. Both of them were released as exclusives for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. However, we have seen earlier that other titles initially exclusive to the PlayStation console lineup have made their way to PC.
While Xbox users are deprived of the fun when this happens, some relief is offered to gamers regarding platform availability. As per rumors, God of War Ragnarok and The Last of Us 2 will make their way to PC in 2024.
God of War Ragnarok and The Last of Us 2 to grace PC after impressing everyone with PlayStation releases
As per a post on the subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumors, a 4Chan board was posted, and information about several exclusives coming to PC was shared by someone claiming to be a Nixxes Employee. Nixxes is the studio that released PC ports for titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and is also working on the upcoming PC port of Horizon Forbidden West.
The official statement that was put up on the 4chan board is as follows:
Nixxes employee here, I know of some Sony games coming to PC this year: TLOU Part 2, God of War Ragnarok, Demon’s Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, Gran Turismo 7, All slated for this year. DS and GOT taking so long because it’s the devs first time making PC ports. Spider-Man 2 will come in early 2025. Sony is also discussing porting earlier games e.g. infamous Second Son to PC as well.
The news comes after the recent DLC for God of War Ragnarok, one that was released as a free update titled Valhalla, was released. God of War Ragnarok saw Kratos and Atreus going towards another journey together and the game served as a very fit sequel to an exceptional title. The latest DLC called Valhalla introduced a roguelike mode to the title.
Also, The Last of Us Part 2 got a remaster for the PlayStation 5 exclusively. It is worth noting that The Last of Us Part 1 was also released for PC only several months after it was released for the PlayStation 5.
The fact that The Last of Us Part 2 release is happening merely within 3 years of the game’s original release date, fans were undoubtedly now happy with Naughty Dog for remastering yet another title instead of delivering news regarding a sequel. Not to mention, Naughty Dog needs to do much better this time if they plan to release The Last of Us Part 2 for PC. That is because The Last of Us Part 1 was a disaster when it launched on the PC.
The fact that the leak also states that titles like Gran Turismo 7 and Ghost of Tsushima will come to PC means that PC gamers will be in for a treat in case the leak is genuine and legitimate. It won’t come as a surprise since PlayStation 4 titles have come out.
Many of the ones listed here have been cross-generation, with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Demon’s Souls being the only titles released exclusively for the PlayStation 5. Infamous Second Son is a title one doesn’t expect to see in this list. It was a title released several years ago for the PlayStation 4, and since then, the series has mostly been dormant.
Despite this, there is no official confirmation from either Sony or Nixxes on the same. So, readers are advised to take this information with a pinch of salt. Also, another title that has long been requested to come for PC, Bloodborne, is nowhere to be found on the list.
