Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is wreaking havoc at the box office, laughing at the critics’ low review score. The film has shattered the expectations, leaving the audience in awe. Though skepticism was raised when the film was initially released in theatres, all those skepticism has been silenced as the newest addition to the Kaiju franchise has proved to be a smash-hit blockbuster.
The new saga has surpassed its predecessor. But a new theory following the events showcased in the film proves how in the near future when the sequel to The New Empire is released, an imminent fight between Kong and The Big G will take place in the MonsterVerse as governments across the world believe him to be a threat, while Kong can be a trustworthy pet, who would do their bidding.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’s Sequel Will Feature Kong as The New Alpha: Killer
Adam Wingard’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire gets the second lowest franchise score, but that did not stop the franchise from teasing a partnership between Godzilla and Kong to take down the new villain, Skar King with the help of an Ice Kaiju known as Shimo. While it looks like everything is right in the world and the people can go back to their normal lives, the threat s of a bigger battle has been left hanging in the near future of the franchise.
The reason? Well, it is fairly simple the governments around the world are too skeptical of Godzilla and how were not too fond of the Kaiju, as it would wreck major cities in a fight with the other Titans. Moreover, in the film, the Italian Government expressed their dissatisfaction with the Kaiju when it wrecked The Eternal City of Rome, whilst fighting a rogue Titan.
In addition to fighting recklessly, Godzilla is seen as a major threat as it has Atomic breath causing a major catastrophe, with razor-sharp scales, radiation absorption giving him strength and healing him from his injuries, and if that’s not overpowered, the Kaiju can survive both on land and in the ocean.
However, on the other hand, the government trusts Kong and finds the Mighty Kong to be more trustworthy. As a result, Monarch develops a specially designed gauntlet for Kong which amps up its powers and heals it from injuries. The gauntlet has been a part of Monarch’s Project Powerhouse, this is crucial in the killing of Godzilla because, unlike The Atomic Lizard, Kong does not possess any special powers.
Hence, the gauntlet worn by Kong showcases how in the sequel an imminent fight between the two Monsters will take place, and where Godzilla’s death is imminent, making Kong the Alpha: Killer!
Skar King’s Potential Return in The Godzilla x Kong Sequel
While fans are excited for a Godzilla vs Kong in the ultimate deathmatch that will potentially lead to Godzilla’s death, they must not forget how in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Kong defeated Skar King in their final battle, where it was never showcased that the antagonist is exactly dead in the film, as his corpse was never shown. The viewers see that Skar King’s body is frozen and Kong celebrates his victory against the Titan.
Hence, it is heavily anticipated that Monarch’s Project Powerhouse will most likely showcase a Cyborg Skar King because, in the previous installments, we have witnessed how Monarch has created Mechagodzilla. Who knows if they will start the project again, and this time be successful with it. However, one thing is for sure the next few features of the MonsterVerse will be extremely important and build anticipation for the ultimate title, The Alpha: Killer.
