Amazon Prime Video’s hit series, The Boys, premiered back in 2019. With three seasons already aired, the show is gearing up for the release of its fourth season tomorrow. But before the season had even premiered, Amazon had already announced that the show will be renewed for yet another season.

New Update From The Boys Headquarters
The Boys Season 4 is upon us, and fans cannot wait to see what they have in store for us. The series has been a fan favorite since it’s inception, and has wowed audiences with brilliant writing and even better performance from the cast. But with already three seasons down and another knocking on our doors, the producers have a new update for us.
The show, as we know, has already been renewed for a fifth season. The news came even before the fourth season’s premiere, which goes on to show how much Amazon trusts the writing room and believe in the show’s success. But recently there have been some buzz about Eric Kripke, the creator of the show making the same mistake with The Boys that he did with Supernatural, that is stretch it for too long. And seems like this time he has learnt his lesson, and heeded the warnings.
Recently it was announced that The Boys Season 5 will also be it’s final season. We are closing towards the end of the storyline, and its conclusion is definitely good news. While the show has been bang on with every season, and fans have loved how the story progressed, it’s better to pull the reigns before things can take a turn for the worst.
On June 11, Eric Kripke, posted on X (formerly Twitter), about the show’s ending, with a screenshot of a redacted copy of the script for the Season 4 finale.

Rather than the legacy of such a fan favorite show getting reduced to dust, better to end the story in a high note. Which will be better for the showrunners as well as the fans.
Fans React to The Boys Latest Announcement
While it will be a little sad to see a fan favorite show like The Boys coming to an end, it is definitely for the good. And seems like the fans agree too. As reported by Variety, Kripke is currently busy mapping out the fifth season of the show. The final season will be eight episodes long. He also teased the inclusion of a few A-list guest stars, and revealed that filming will begin sometime in November this year and has plans to conclude things by mid-2025.

Fans are quite happy that the show won’t be dragged until it’s last breath and will be ended on a high note rather. Kripke and co. also already have plans for more spinoff shows alongside Gen V, which has already begun filming for its second season. It has been a fun ride so far, and hopefully The Boys will end on a bang.
The Boys Season 4 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 13, 2024.
