GTA 6 is coming next year and the gaming community hopes that Rockstar Games will not utilize the same features and mechanics that other games have used. The previous game has had a great online mode that is still prevalent and fans hope the same will happen to the successor.
Online games are all the rage nowadays and there is no doubt the developers are working on an online mode for the upcoming sequel. The gaming community will surely enjoy every aspect of the game but hopes that one feature that was made popular will not be entertained in this one.
GTA 6 Needs to Be Safe From the Influence of Epic Games
Developing sequels can be challenging for some developers but Rockstar Games has a quarter of a century worth of experience. Perhaps taking a trip down memory lane and reusing older concepts and ideas for GTA 6 would not be the worst idea in the world especially if the gaming community responded well.

The live service structure has taken over and some of these games have encouraged the culture of toxicity and not everyone is on board with it. Epic Games has a similar feature in Fortnite which other players use as a method to goad their opponents which is extremely toxic and unnecessary. Emoting fellow players can be viewed as annoying and offensive which will be the catalyst for problems.

Featuring emotes can provoke players to make fun of others which is a form of bullying. Rockstar Games gave the player base countless animations for the online mode of GTA 5 and while they are often used to convey messages and emotions, others use them for ulterior motives.
Epic Games has taken the emotes in the game too far to a point where the gaming community can use this feature to promote toxicity. The nature of the Grand Theft Auto franchise is already toxic and adding an emote wheel will only stoke the flames hotter.
Fortnite Is the Epitome of Toxic Gaming Culture
Toxic players have plagued the live service structure because the developers have been supplying them with the means to do so. There is no doubt players will pick on fellow players in the upcoming game but Rockstar Games can mitigate or lessen their methods.
Video games are meant to be a place of solace for players who are looking for an escape or a quick reprieve from the problems in real life but it seems like trouble will follow them wherever they go because of these toxic features. Epic Games has done its part to enable a feature that will discourage confrontational emotes and it appears to have worked.
Torturing others for one’s satisfaction is deeply troubling and unethical. Players will be provoked once they are being emoted at and one thing will lead to a confrontation and developers should be prepared to moderate.
Rockstar Games can’t risk this project being plagued with bullies. The gaming community has seen enough negativity for a lifetime. Would you want to see an emote wheel in GTA 6? Let us know in the comments section below!
