However, it has been announced that most of the major crew will show up in the Disney+ project. The audience is not getting many details about it yet, but, James Gunn has recently opened up and started talking about the headline, giving several clues about what we can expect.
Director Said Upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special Is ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’
Recently, In an interview with Deadline, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn expressed what the audience can anticipate in the upcoming Holiday Special. He described The Holiday Special as “very light and bubbly and fun,” calling the whole project “absolutely ridiculous:”
“Yes, the Holiday Special is very light and bubbly and fun and just absolutely ridiculous, so I think that’s great. And then we’re going on to do Peacemaker Season 2.”

Another source addressed that the director expressed the unique nature of the Holiday Special, saying “it is unlike anything that anyone’s ever seen before:”
“The Holiday Special is the greatest thing I’ve ever done in my life. It’s totally ridiculous, and every day we can’t believe that we’re making it. We all completely love it. It is unlike anything that anyone’s ever seen before. I can’t wait for people to see it.”
The director has also teased some notable points by saying that the Holiday Special will feature “one of the greatest MCU characters of all time” and it’s important for the future of these characters as it will introduce “some important new elements in the Guardians’ story.”

Fans are pleased to know that the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is adopting a related soft mood to its theatrical stepbrothers. This made many fans ease and chill who were concerned about the titular darker tone of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. With the upcoming threequel, things are predicted to be dark according to the teasers, so The Holiday Special will be a nice trip.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will initiate streaming on Disney+ sometime later this year.
