Portraying the role of an on-screen couple can get tricky sometimes even for the A-listers but eventually, it all comes down to their professionalism as it is a part of their jobs. Sofía Vergara’s bio-graphic crime series, Griselda was recently released on Netflix, and the actor, Alberto Guerra who portrayed the role of Griselda Blanco’s husband in the series talked about his experience of working on the series.

Alberto Guerra portrayed the role of Griselda Blanco’s third husband, Darío Sepúlveda in the series Griselda recently. Darío Sepúlveda and Blanco got married back in 1978 but their story met a very tragic end. After deciding to separate from Griselda Blanco in 1983, Sepúlveda left the US, kidnapped their son, Michael Blanco, and escaped to Colombia. However, Griselda Blanco being an absolutely ruthless person, got his ex-husband assassinated in Colombia in order to get her son back to her.
In a recent interview with Screenrant, Alberto Guerra opened up about working on the series Griselda and how he portrayed the role of Darío Sepúlveda. He said,
“It was really fun. Because, you see, you have these two really weird and crazy characters and then you’re trying to bring some chemistry to them in order for you to show when they lose the chemistry. And it was really fun.”
Alberto Guerra further opened up about sharing the screen with Sofía Vergara who portrayed the role of the titular character in the series.

Sofía Vergara portrayed the role of Griselda Blanco aka the Cocaine-Godmother on the series who was a ruthless drug kingpin operating from Miami in the US. Alberto Guerra also talked about how he felt sharing the screen alongside Vergara and said,
“Sofia, genuinely, is a really fun person. She’s a very accessible person. You just feel comfortable around her, and so that helps a lot creating and building chemistry between two characters. And we knew we wanted that; we wanted to have this almost uncomfortable feeling around this couple. They’re so weird together, especially in the last part of their story. But yeah, it was really fun. It was one of the most important things for me as an actor, was trying to get within this huge show that there’s a lot of things happening, we wanted to take the moment to really put these two characters out there as a couple.”
This was also Sofía Vergara’s debut in a more dramatic role as compared to her previous roles and the fans have praised her for her portrayal of Blanco. Griselda has been a massive critical success as it has largely received positive reviews from fans and critics so far.
Griselda is currently streaming on Netflix.
