Until the trailer drops, there’s bound to be a whole lot of speculation and predictions by fans. In terms of comparing GTA 6 with GTA 5, the upcoming title is expected to be a fresh take on the franchise with some elements remaining quite familiar to franchise fans. One of the many things gamers will be looking forward to is the plethora of customization options and what Rockstar Games adds to the next edition of GTA to spruce up the playable characters.

Character Customization in GTA 6 Expected to be Extremely Detailed

Character customization in GTA 6 is speculated to be highly detailed with tons of options.

If there’s anything common between games like Cyberpunk 2077, Black Desert Online, Starfield, and Hogwarts Legacy, the games offer players amazingly detailed character customization options. GTA 5 isn’t too far away either as the game offers players options to get a plethora of customization in terms of facial hair, tattoos, clothing, as well as hair and face to make the appearance as unique as possible, all of which are expected to double down in GTA 6.

GTA 6 is now expected to take a leaf out of not just its predecessor GTA 5, but also from GTA San Andreas which had even more elaborate customization options. Top that with all the modern graphics that will make the games look extremely detailed, and fans are in for a treat.

In 2004’s GTA: San Andreas players could not just customize all of the aforementioned features but also the character’s body shape which had three options, normal, fat, and buff, depending on gameplay. This level of character detail looks to be exactly what GTA 6 could be targeting. This was also corroborated by the most recent compilation of GTA 6 leaks posted on Reddit.

Pre-alpha footage from the upcoming GTA title was leaked online last year in September, with the leak considered to be one of the biggest leaks in gaming history. While it was unfortunate, fans did get a glimpse at two characters in the leaked clips, with the male character looking skinny and muscular in different clips. The male character in the footage also appeared to have different hairstyles, different facial hair, and at times looked like sporting a tan as well. It could all be a stretch at this moment, so it’s still a good idea to take all of these speculations with a huge grain of salt.

Official Role-Play Server Partnership Could Bring About Further Character Customization Options

Rockstar Games and the famous role-play community by Cfx.re could bring a lot of customization options.
Rockstar Games and the famous role-play community by Cfx.re could bring a lot of customization options.

On the 11th of August, Rockstar Games announced entering into a partnership with Cfx.re, the team behind several roleplay and creator communities. The most famous role-play communities under Cfx include FiveM and RedM, with a massive amount of fans.

Using roleplay servers, gamers have been staying in their chosen characters, complete with outfit, weapons, and outfit that matches their roles. Given the partnership with Cfx, it’s even more highly likely that the customization options will be a lot more detailed in the online mode in GTA 6. Players on FiveM servers can choose from almost 50 different appearances for both genders.

As for the characters, players have taken up the roles of a space boy, receptionists, drug lord, police officers, racers, businessmen, and even homeless people among many others. Players stay so much in character in these RP servers that they actually complete their sentence in jail or deliver drugs across the map while taking down cops, played by other players, on the way.

A lot of these characters even come with their own backstory and a goal in their life, and build a unique accent as well to match their characters. Players even take up movie characters for their RP and complete it with the accent and overall look online to match the characters perfectly.

With the partnership now in place, character customization in GTA 6 is expected to go really deep into making characters look a lot more detailed compared to previous GTA titles. Even if GTA 6 follows GTA 5‘s way of having two different variants, one being online and the main campaign in offline mode, character customizations on both modes are expected to be quite detailed.
