After a silence that may have felt like a lifetime, Rockstar Games has officially given us a date to look forward to. On December 5 (9 AM ET), we’ll finally get a look at GTA 6. According to the tweet on the company’s official account, we’ll get a glimpse at ‘Trailer 1’. What about the others? Well, we can stretch it out and be a little more patient for all the news that’s coming our way.
This tweet directly complements what Rockstar told us a month ago. According to them, early December marks the first time the world will finally get a look at the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. It can be called anything, really, but after all the speculation and leaks in the world; it’s safe to be positive about a title no other than GTA 6.
This Is Our First Official Look at the Theme and Style of GTA 6
Back in 2016, when Rockstar first announced Red Dead Redemption 2, the logo, themes, and backdrop of Rockstar’s marketing were pretty evident in the kind of game we could except. It seems that the trend will likely continue with GTA 6.
Based on what Rockstar has tweeted moments ago, it seems that we’re looking at something quite similar to Vice City and the bright, dusky colors of when we first got a glimpse of Grand Theft Auto V. In fact, the simplicity of the Rockstar logo this time sends a similar kind of message.

Here’s the fun bit: take a look at Rockstar’s website. The gorgeous revamp with those extremely familiar palm trees in the background confirms a lot of the speculations the community has been having over the years. Beaches, laid-back attitudes, sunny weather, and so on. It has to be Vice City, right? Or at least a setting that mimics a fictional landscape based on Miami, Florida.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long to get our first look at what GTA 6 is all about. On 9 AM ET, December 5 (Tuesday), Rockstar will drop the first trailer for the game.
What Can We Expect From the First Trailer?
Based on the traditions Rockstar has been following for its last two major releases (Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5), it is likely that our first look at GTA 6 will focus majorly on the setting of the game. We’ll likely take a look at what the story (or rather, multiple stories!) and characters are doing here, how NPCs play into the large world, what the map looks like, and a few action sequences that showcase the game’s overarching narrative.
Even if the trailer starts with a, ‘Why did I move here?’, we won’t be too disappointed.
