However, recent leaks have added more depth to these speculations, and it’s starting to look like GTA 6 is truly going to define an entire generation of gaming. Not just visually, but also with how the different mechanics will work in the game.

From Eagle-Eye to Map Evolution, there’s a lot to look forward to in GTA 6

Remember to take all this info with a grain of salt.

A post by user Longjumping-Crab3594 on Reddit dives deeper into all that’s possible in the next Grand Theft Auto. Here’s a quick gist of features to be excited about:

  • Eagle Eye: Remember how RDR 2 did this? The slo-mo aiming and gunshots that made everything so cinematic?
  • Dual-wielding is back: Finally, players will be able to dual-wield weapons, probably as both Jason and Lucia.
  • In-game cryptocurrency: Something like NFTs or Bitcoin is probably going to be a form of in-game currency in the game. Who knows what kind of shenanigans criminal masterminds will be able to pull off in the game, thanks to this?
  • Discovery/Tracking system: Just like in RDR 2, GTA 6 will allow players to track moving animals and vehicles. Car chases are going to be fun!
  • Several minigames: This time around, players will be able to engage in a variety of minigames which was something that lacked a lot in the previous entry.
  • Lucia and Jason’s living conditions: It’s likely that both of these characters will stay together in different places, over the course of gameplay.
  • In-game social media and news broadcasting: Events in the world will eventually make their way to social media, and Jason/Lucia will likely make use of this to their advantage.
  • Clever AI: Cops and civilians will remember your appearance or the vehicle you were goofing around in, based on which interactions may differ.
  • Evolving Map: Over time, the GTA 6’s world is likely to change and evolve, as time passes.
  • Purpose-driven tools: Protagonists will use different tools for a set of actions. Hence, gadgets will play a strong role.

Of these leaks, some have been confirmed already, for example, the dual-wielding and the minigames, whilst we wait to hear more regarding others, specifically the lack of planned single-player content and the opening of GTA 6 being similar to that of GTA 5.

GTA 6 could change what gaming is about

GTA 6 features
We’ll have to wait until we see actual footage of all these features.

As with any leaks, you should take all of these with a grain of salt, however with some being confirmed and the rest being more than plausible, it’s undeniably an exciting time to be a fan of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. With GTA 6 having been in development for so long, the expectations are high for Rockstar Games to deliver, and with their last few releases being lackluster remakes and remasters, the pressure is on.

Do you think some of these gameplay aspects are too good to be true, or all of them are going to be there in GTA 6? Let us know in the comments below.
