Here’s Why Will Poulter Defended MCU Phase 4

Phase 4 of the MCU saw a staggering total of 17 movies and series released between 2021 and 2022. As one of the most ambitious projects that attempted to connect multiple plotlines and superheroes, the phase turned out to be a mixed bag eventually, with many hits and an equal number of misses. The franchise was criticized for dreaming too big with an overdose of releases that saw some projects like Black Widow, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Fantastic Four falling by the wayside. Newly appointed Marvel star Will Poulter defended the MCU’s decisions saying,

“I think the size of Marvel and the scope of their programming is so large that sometimes people can kind of, sort of confuse that for quantity over quality. But the folks at the top are, I mean, deeply and passionately invested in the quality of the material”

Poulter also added that Marvel has always followed the policy of giving superstars like Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Jake Gyllenhaal, and many others the space to explore other avenues along with their commitment to the MCU.
