Emily Blunt and Matt Damon’s Awkward Kiss

The Adjustment Bureau was a film that saw Matt Damon and Emily Blunt collaborate in the most wonderful way possible. The movie was a massive success and ended up earning twice its intended budget. The film had one scene in particular that neither actor was willing to shoot.

“John Toll, the great cinematographer and also a friend of ours, he was shooting the film and he was equally uncomfortable,” Damon stated. “He was saying, ‘Guys it’s only seven seconds, can you just give me seven seconds?’”

The actor revealed that the kiss between the two actors was shot at the end of the film and neither of them was too keen on it. Both of them were great friends and even their spouses were close to each other, so to have the two locking lips was the worst feeling for them. However, somehow the cinematographer, John Toll managed to convince them to shoot the film. Damon further added that the awkward wave was not limited to the two of them. Instead, everyone on set could feel just how much tension there was.

Matt Damon’s Onion Slathered Kiss

Matt Damon once got a chance to work with Scarlett Johansson in We Bought a Zoo and things took quite an unfortunate turn for them. When the two had gone out for lunch, they had expected for shoot for that day to be over. The Black Widow star ended up eating an onion sandwich which ultimately stabbed Damon in the back.

“We went to lunch and she and I both thought it was over and she ate, like, an onion sandwich,” Damon added. “And she came in and [director] Cameron Crowe had set the camera up and it was, like, a tight shot of the kiss, and she goes, ‘Oh s***, I literally just had an onion sandwich!’”

The two were forced to do a kissing sequence right after lunch and that led to the Oppenheimer star crying from the inside because an onion-filled kiss was not on his to-do list for the day.
