Gwyneth Paltrow called out Harvey Weinstein for her major flop

Harvey Weinstein is highly infamous for the controversies he has been associated with over the years. On top of that the Oscar-winning actress has also called him out for talker her into doing one of the worst movies of her acting career. During an interview with The Guardian, Gwyneth Paltrow referred to some “sh*t” films that she had been a part of in the past.

In 2003’s View from the Top, Gwyneth Paltrow starred as a young woman who sets on a journey to become a flight attendant. She was cast in the movie alongside Mark Ruffalo, Christina Applegate, and others. Unfortunately, the movie was both a major critical and commercial flop earning as little as $19.5 million on a budget of $30 million. Paltrow said about the movie:

This terrible movie called View From the Top that Harvey Weinstein talked me into doing.”

Following a few other box office disappointments, the 51-year-old actress saw a revival of her career when she starred as Pepper Potts in the MCU. She had a long journey in the MCU and was a part of the universe for a long time until Avengers: Endgame. But she had been on a long hiatus following that.

When will Gwyneth Paltrow return to acting?

Besides some voice roles in American Horror Stories and She Said and a minor role in Netflix’s The Politician, Gwyneth Paltrow’s last feature film was Avengers: Endgame. It doesn’t look like the actress is much interested in resuming her acting career due to her business commitments to her lifestyle brand Goop. 

But she did mention someone’s name who can make her return to acting soon and that’s her MCU on-screen love interest Robert Downey Jr. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Paltrow openly admitted that she would like to focus more on Goop right now.

“Well, it would be very hard for me to do any acting right at the moment, just because of my job. But, I guess Robert Downey Jr. could probably always get me back.”

There are rumors all around that a bunch of stars including Robert Downey Jr. can be seen soon in the MCU’s Avengers: Secret Wars. It will be interesting to see if Pepper Potts also makes an appearance once again on the big screens.
