Fans have gotten some more crumbs about Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 as Luke Dale, the voice behind Hans Capon recently posted about the behind-the-scenes process of recording for the game. Dale talked about how actors would be shown early development cutscenes during recording to provide context for their lines.
This was so that the performances remained consistent over a long period of development. Since the game has a large story, actors have to remember a lot. Dale humorously noted the initial cutscenes looked funny, but assured fans that the final product has come a long way.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Has Come A Long Way
In his post on X, Dale shared the images he was working with during recording and had a laugh about how early in development it was.
Before recording a VO in the booth, I would be shown an early development stage cutscene (if one was available). But they just look SO funny. You’ll be glad to know, it’s come a long way since then.
He talked about how matching the energy and emotion from motion capture sessions to voice recordings was the focus. His comments were well-received by fans on social media, eager to see the advancements in the sequel.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, announced by Warhorse Studios, promises to be a grand sequel with vast improvements. Creative Director Daniel Vavra explained in the developer cuts shown during the trailer that this time, they have the resources to create the game they initially envisioned.

The studio has made significant strides in enhancing the game’s realism and historical accuracy. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will feature a more expansive and detailed world with its use of the CryEngine for improved graphics and environmental fidelity.
The game will introduce new weapons, including crossbows and early firearms, adding to the authenticity of the medieval setting. Kuttenberg, a significant location in the game, is expected to be a standout feature, offering a large, explorable medieval city that plays a crucial role in the narrative.
The sequel aims to build on the success of the original game, which sold around six million units despite some technical criticisms. Warhorse Studios, now boasting a team of 250 employees, has grown considerably and is determined to deliver a more polished and expansive experience.
The sequel is set to launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 later this year, and fans are eagerly awaiting their return to medieval Bohemia. It’s been 6 years since the first game came out.
