It seems like Kevin Hart is finally embracing his action star phase as he reveals constantly hanging out with Hollywood’s finest action stars on a group chat. The Jumanji actor admitted he talks to the likes of Tom Cruise and Jackie Chan about all things action films.
Hart is no stranger to the action genre as he himself starred in several projects, mostly infused with comedy and adventure. In fact, he sets himself apart from the legends as he puts his own spin on it.
Kevin Hart Talks To Fellow Action Stars In A Secret Group Chat
Kevin Hart spoke with People at the Lincoln Center in New York City and revealed he has a secret group chat with several action movie stars, including Dwayne Johnson. There was definitely a pang of regret after he told the public about it as he admitted he should not be discussing their secret in an interview.
“Dwayne, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Jet Li, Jackie Chan. All the biggest guys. You know, we just talk about action stuff. It’s a real secret chat, I shouldn’t be talking to you about this chat. I could get in a lot of trouble from the other action guys.”
Hart eventually decided to give a little explanation about his revelation, telling fans that he and his fellow actors just share stories about action movies in their private conversation.
“We just share action stories, that’s the thing, when you’re an action guy, you have to have action stories so our chat is all about ping-ponging action stories and just making sure that everyone’s in sync you know? That’s what it’s about.”
A lot of fans won’t really consider Hart as an action star because he does not possess the stereotypical qualities of such in Hollywood. For one, he admitted not having the deep voice they use to intimidate their enemies. He told E! News:
“As an action star that has all of the tools to be exactly what you would expect to see… You know, they feel like action stars need this crazy tone and I don’t have that. But I’m still able to come across with the action stuff. I’m more of an on-the-spot, fly kinda guy. Always have been. A scrappy action star—haven’t really seen a lot of those!”
Still, he views himself as a real action star, just the fun and silly type. Hart starred in a number of action projects, including Die Hart, Central Intelligence, and The Man from Toronto.
