Starring as a married couple who decide to move to the jungles of Central America, the duo developed a close bond together and have remained close friends ever since. The Mosquito Coast co-stars recently reunited for the American western drama 1923. And the Fast X star has been quite open about her affection toward her co-star.
Ford and Mirren once again star as a married couple in 1923 as well. And the Red actress has shared that she was excited and nervous about her intimate scenes with Ford in the show.
Helen Mirren Was Excited About Working With Harrison Ford
Harrison Ford reunited with his The Mosquito Coast co-star Helen Mirren as they starred alongside in the TV series 1923. The Yellowstone prequel series follows a generation of the Dutton family facing several challenges during the early 20th century.
And the 77-year-old actress shared that she was so excited about a specific scene with her co-star that she had to pretend to be calm. “Don’t tell him. Promise me,” the actress shared during The Wrap’s 2023 Awards Season Screening Series.
She further shared that she was excited to film the intimate scenes with the Hollywood star, saying, “I had to be in the bed with him, you know. I’m dressed up to here.” She also stated that she tried her best to stay calm while filming the scene.
“I was so excited. I can’t tell you. I had to pretend to be cool,” Mirren shared. While they did star in the 1986 film, Ford and Mirren have never been romantically linked. The 81-year-old actor has been married to the American actress Calista Flockhart, and the couple recently celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary.
1923 Renewed For Another Season
Starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, the TV series 1923 has been a massive success for Paramount+. The show has become the most-watched Paramount+ premiere in the USA with 7.4 million viewers and has also been praised by critics. And considering the response it received from audience and critics, 1923 has been renewed for another season.
Many have claimed that the creator of the series needs to bring in another season of the show to complete the Dutton family’s story that started with Yellowstone. Season 2 is also expected to have eight episodes and is expected to end the take of the Dutton family. However, nothing is confirmed yet, including the release date of 1923 season 2.
