The Harry Potter franchise brought many things to the world, from wonderful stories to timeless friendships. Among the scores of friendships, Emma Watson and Tom Felton’s relationship continues to amaze and shock fans, with many of them still refusing to believe that they were just ‘friends’. Even though both have spoken about it and clarified these ‘rumors’, many continue to refuse or accept their ‘claims’.
And so the story goes as a resurfaced video of the two from behind the scenes of their movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire caught the attention of fans, many of whom couldn’t help but notice a little bit of jealousy in Felton as he watched Watson dance with her Yule ball partner, Victor Krum.
Fans Rection To Tom Felton Watching Emma Watson Dance With Another Scene
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire featured the famous Yule ball for young and old witches and wizards to let their hair down and have a good time. While things didn’t turn out all too well for the Golden Trio, they were certainly looking good for Tom Felton and Emma Watson behind the scenes.
In one of their Behind the Scene videos, the two actors could be seen having fun and even dancing. However, Felton looked a little down or as fans quote, ‘jealous’ watching Watson dancing with her partner. He rather sheepishly commented,
“Oh look at that. The star of the show. Lucky man!”
Fans couldn’t help but exclaim the young actor looked like he had a little secret crush on his co-star. Some fans in the comments went ahead to write in the comments of the YouTube video,
“The untold story of Draco and Hermione. They deserve a movie together.”
“he also has a crush on Emma Watson. Maybe he too shy to tell everyone about it.”
“tom totally had a thing for emma while they were filming the fourth movie.”
Despite fan’s reactions, both stars have maintained that nothing has ever happened between them, despite Watson calling Felton her soulmate.
Emma Watson Hails Tom Felton As Her Soulmate
Tom Felton’s memoir, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard featured several interesting stories and anecdotes from the sets of Harry Potter. It also featured a foreword written by Emma Watson. Describing her relationship with Felton, the Beauty and the Beast actress wrote (via Glamour),
“For more than 20 years now we’ve loved each other in a special way, and I’ve lost count of the times people have said to me, ‘You must have drunkenly made out, just once!’ ‘You must have kissed!’ ‘There must be something!’ But what we have is far deeper than that. It’s one of the purest loves I can think of. We’re soulmates, and we’ve always had each other’s backs. I know we always will.”
While Felton stated that there was always something more between them but that he ‘loved and admired her as a person in a way that I could never explain to anybody else.’
Despite the two actor’s denial of a romantic relationship between them, fans continue to hope that perhaps someday their ship could come true.
