He was producing the show until the news of his s-xual assault scandal broke in the media, and the streaming platform cut all ties with his company. The untitled show was helmed by acclaimed director David O. Russell starring De Niro and Julianne Moore. Following the cancelation of his show, The Good Shepherd movie star and his co-stars released a statement stating that they agreed with Amazon’s decision,

“We support Amazon’s decision as In light of recent news and out of respect for all those affected we have decided together that it is best to not move forward with this show.”

The grace with which Robert De Niro accepted the project being shelved goes on to show the character of the Hollywood titan. He agreed to disassociate with a tainted project setting an excellent example for juniors in the industry who look up to him.
