On platforms like Reddit, the game’s official community has been fervently discussing whether this version deserves the name 1.0. Many users believe the new additions are not enough to justify this name and don’t understand why the studio decided to release it in its current state.

Several users also discuss why they didn’t wait for the completion of the game’s long-awaited story mode.

A user’s post discussing version 1.0 of 7 Days to Die mentions that the current version lacks many of the mechanics from previous versions.

Other users began to express their opinions, speculating that this could be a strategy to boost sales on consoles, given that the concept of early access can be challenging to understand on platforms other than PC.

The discussion continues with other users complaining about minimal changes that affected their perception of the game, saying that the new updates are not what they expected. Many of them are eagerly anticipating the release of the story mode, which the studio has confirmed will happen sometime in 2025.

Despite all these complaints, the community of this giant game will remain very active beyond the changes.

Everything suggests that The Fun Pimps are planning to add much more content to the game in the future, particularly in the upcoming year. One of the characteristics of this title is that it has sold surprisingly well, surpassing millions of units sold across various platforms.

Another thing the community desires is a graphical update, as the game has become quite outdated.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
