“This was never meant to be a long-running show, it was always … a limited series.”

As the claims got into the ears of HBO, they quickly addressed the report with their official PR Twitter stating that the second season has not been determined yet.

Given that HBO has not promoted the series as a limited one, it further questioned the validity of the report. Meanwhile, another source mentioned,

“The door is definitely still open — it’s definitely not a decision [yet]. At this point, this is normal in our process … we’re only two episodes in.”

The show has been receiving highly negative feedback with behind-the-scenes reports further escalating the backlash. However, HBO has decided to keep supporting Johnny Depp’s daughter as Dior did when he was being criticized after his ex-wife, Amber Heard, put him under media scrutiny.
