Talking about his and his brothers’ obsession with Delta Force, a tactical first-person shooter game, Henry Cavill remembered how his younger brother would constantly defeat his elder brother, despite the latter being a soldier in the Royal Marines. Needless to say, losing to Charlie Cavill again and again caused epic frustration within Niki Cavill. Later, he would use his real-life military tactics to one-up his younger brother.
Talking to GQ, Cavill stated, “He actually started using military tactics, so my youngest brother was getting slayed at every corner.”
Cavill also opened up about how he prefers staying in and playing video games instead of going out where paparazzi and fans are on every corner, waiting to snap a photo of you.
“Every time I step out my front door, I’m hyper aware. Even if I’m not looking terrible, you still realise there are people taking sneaky photos of you, because that’s what people like to do. And then they put them on the internet and you see them on Instagram and you’re like, ‘Oh, my god.’ At home, I get to sit playing games for ridiculous amounts of hours and escape there, because going outside has the opposite effect.”
Fans have always loved this side of Cavill, perhaps because it makes them feel that the superstar is just like them! Even if you take a look at his Instagram, you’ll easily be able to spot hints of the actor’s gaming obsession.
A Video Game Character That Is Perfect for Henry Cavill
Rumors about the extremely popular video game Call of Duty being made into a live-action film have been making rounds on the Internet for quite some time now. Needless to say, fans of the video game were over the moon and their excitement only grew when a report (via Giant Freakin Robot) stated that Cavill could be playing Captain Price in the rumored film. While those rumors have not been officially confirmed to date, hopes are still high within Cavill’s fandom who are rooting for the actor.
