But when it comes to his personal life, it was quite similar since his love life often faced hurdles. While he tried his luck in love with several women, not every ending went in the expected direction. Something similar happened when he met his second ex-wife, Brigitte Nielsen.

Sylvester Stallone and Brigitte Nielsen’s love life started on quite an interesting note, which garnered major media attention. Back in 1985, the then-21-year-old model decided to approach him by sharing a note with her number written on it along with her picture. As per Entertainment Weekly,

“My name is Brigitte Nielsen … I’d really like to meet you. Here’s my number.”

Her actions eventually got a fruitful result as the actor was ready to meet the blonde girl. He reportedly responded, “I’ve got to get to know you better.”

The duo instantly connected and kicked off their dating period which is when they were filming Rocky IV. Soon after that, they decided to exchange vows to make their bond more strong but little did they know that it would eventually end up making their lives complicated. Nielson being 17 years his junior, ended up calling it quits two years later. However, the aftermath was something quite complicated since there were different stories on both sides regarding their breakup.

The model was often portrayed in a negative light with many reports initially claiming that she had eyes on Stallone’s grand career and money thus deeming her as ‘gold digger.’

However, back in 2014, she asserted that it was The Expendables actor who pleaded with her for marriage.

“The biggest misconception while I was with Sylvester was the fact that everybody thought I married him because of money. They didn’t understand that he begged me to marry. He begged me!”

Despite the duo being immensely in love with one another at once, she was unable to feel the same passion in their marriage thus parting was a good option for both of them. Nielson, on the other hand, shared a passionate romance with Red Sonja co-actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Of course, it was soon apparent that the two of us had energy between us, and at length, it channeled itself into an outrageous affair…Time was limited so we didn’t hold back — we really made the most of it. The set lights would barely be off before we disappeared to do our thing.”

However, their illicit romance was quite brief where the duo seemed to have “no restrictions, no promises, nothing” which she confessed was a great time in her life.
