One such mystery following the grand adventure is the most alluring treasure that Gol D. Roger left behind. Though the true nature of the titular treasure has not been revealed by Oda-Sensei in the Shonen series, fans have made worthy attempts.

Recently, a fan has come up with an intriguing theory following one of the crewmates of the Pirate King, who might have been responsible for helping the Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates complete his lifelong goal of becoming the King of the Pirates.

Fan Theory Clears The Belief of Morgans Being a Part of Gol D. Roger’s Crew

In Eiichiro Oda’s vast world, only one pirate crew has been successful enough to find the secret following the Void Century and the Ancient Kingdom. This crew was none other than Roger Pirates, who were led by Gol D. Roger.

Moreover, they are the only crew that was able to discover the One Piece treasure. Unfortunately, fame brought the World Government on his tail; they not only apprehended the Captain of the Roger Pirates but also publicly executed him.

Roger’s execution forced the crew to disband, and while most of them went to keep a low profile, there is one crewmate other than Silvers Rayleigh who might be guiding Luffy to find the treasure.

This character is none other than Big News Morgans, as he has been defying the World Government and spreading the truth about them. According to a fan theory posted on r/OnePiece, Morgans was a part of Roger’s crew, and there have been several pieces of evidence to prove it.

The fan acknowledged that they have seen theories stating that Morgan was a part of the Roger Pirates, but “this simply isn’t possible.” Further explaining that after hell broke loose in God Valley, the news was reported by the journalist that took place 38 years ago.

However, the Pirate King found the One Piece 24 years ago, which states that Morgans had been a “news reporter for 14 years before Roger found the one piece.” They concluded their theory by mentioning that the theory is indeed “cool,” but it’s not true.

Following the theory, the community was summoned to the Reddit post, where they had their say following the theory that debunked the notion of Big News Morgans being Roger’s crewmate.

One Piece Fans Voiced their Opinion Following Morgans not Being a Part of Roger Pirates

Ever since Luffy became a renowned name in the One Piece world, the reporter has showcased an immense interest in the pirate. He has been closely monitoring his next steps, even declaring him as the Fifth Emperor of the Sea.

Though he was ordered by the World Government to remove the ‘D.’ from his name, Morgans chose to ignore it and shared the new posters. Hence, this made fans believe that he might be helping the pirate.

However, fans have come to realize that the theory might be true because the reaction following Dr. Vegapunk’s announcement makes it clear that the reporter might not be a former pirate after all.

The idea of Morgans being an ally to the Straw Hat Pirates felt pleasing, but that was not the case because, during the Egghead Arc, he portrayed the Straw Hats in the negative, where he reported that Luffy had kidnapped Dr. Vegapunk. But who knows? This might be part of his clever plot.

One Piece can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
