Unlike Jar Jar Binks, there is one Star Wars character that fans of the franchise simply aren’t willing to forgive. That character is none other than Pong Krell, first introduced in The Clone Wars animated series. Dave Fennoy voiced the character in four episodes of the series.
Krell was a Besalisk male and Jedi Knight who served as a General in the Grand Army of the Republic. During the Clone Wars, Krell led a unit of Clone Troopers in the campaign on Umbara. However, he betrayed the Republic and eventually revealed his alliance with the Sith.
Krell caused infighting within the Clone Troopers during the mission, hoping to become Count Dooku’s apprentice. He was also responsible for the massacre of several Clone Troopers during the war. As a result, the character has one of the worst heel turns in the franchise’s history, making Krell even more despicable than Jar Jar.
