Elden Ring is a game about legends; there are gods and demi-gods in this game, and every one of them is essential to its plot. With a game that has so many characters, it is hard to imagine if this game would be the same if any of these characters were missing from it. Looks like this cast of characters would only expand with Shadow of the Erdtree.

From Godrick to Radahn, every single character in this game led this epic tale of heroes to a conclusion. While the player-controlled Tarnished was always at the center, these supposed side characters were no short of heroes. Taking things a step further, it appears the upcoming DLC will add yet another hero to this story.

Elden Ring's DLC announcement has broken the gaming community
Godrick the Grafted in Elden Ring

The Lands Between is a massive area, and most of its regions are under the control of different Demi-Gods. Godrick The Grafted rules Stormveil Castle; on the other hand, Radahn holds domain over Caelid.

Each of them has a story. Godrick wants to be as powerful as the others, but he finds the answer through a forbidden method. He grafts the body parts of capable warriors and creatures to make himself a god. He seems to remember the time when Malenia defeated him.

On the other hand, Caelid is surrounded by a flesh-rotting disease. Before this happened, it was ruled by the mighty General Radahn. He ruled the stars and this land before he had to fight Malenia to a standstill. And then she brought this struggle to an end by unleashing the scarlet rock on this land.

Of course, the upcoming DLC Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree would only add to the story of this game. A bunch of new locations, a bunch of new characters, and a bunch of new heroes.

In the recent trailer for this DLC, fans got a look at most of everything new this DLC would bring. Among these was a character called Messmer. Most theorists and avid fans have already deduced that he is another one of Queen Marika’s children. And he looks ruthless, no doubt.

Besides that, there are a million theories about why he is in this new area and where he was during the course of the original game’s story. There has been no clear indication about any of these things from the developers till now.

But recently, during a Famitsu interview, game director Hidetaka Miyazaki broke his silence. He clearly suggested that Messmer is just another hero in this story. This means he too lived a life of serving a great purpose before falling into the darkness.

Whatever he might be suggesting with this statement, fans will know soon enough. This DLC is not very far from launch anymore.

Would Miquella too get a conclusion in this new story?

While the stories of most of the characters in the original Elden Ring have been pretty clear until now, one character is still in the shadows. This character is none other than Miquella. Some say he is the one controlling everything in this game, while others say he would be controlling everything in the DLC.

But one thing that’s pretty clear is the fact that he would be there in the DLC to some extent. He is even mentioned in the trailer. Some even suggest that he is the character riding Torrent in the popular art of the DLC. Well, on June 20, 2024.
