In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan talked about Bruce Willis‘ illness with aphasia and the deteriorating state of the actor’s health and state of mind. Amidst a talk about AI and its capabilities, he said, 

“Bruce Willis sold all the rights to his voice, cause he has, I think its called aphasia. He’s got a serious neurological condition, something’s really wrong with him. He gave up the rights to AI and deepfakes of him for ads…I mean, he’s just trying to stay alive, it’s bad. There was a video of him with his family, I think they were celebrating a birthday. And he was just, you could see him struggling, it’s so sad”

Rogan was distraught and extremely sad as he talked about Willis and he does seem affected by the news of the actor, who once entertained the world, to be struck with such a devastating and damaging illness.

As Bruce Willis’ illness continues to progress, it does seem that it is really an end to Willis’ career as an actor. Recently in February of 2023, he was diagnosed with frontotempral dementia, which is a sign of further deterioration of his mental state and his ability to speak and communicate  It is extremely saddening news for fans and people who have long enjoyed the enjoyable films and performances that the actor has given throughout his career. One hopes that the actor finds peace and stability in his new phase of life and tries to live one day at a time.

His career and his contributions to cinema will always be remembered and he is among one of the most charismatic actors that have ever graced the silver screen. His legacy will live on as new people will discover his works and celebrate the actor for many years to come.
