Big purple leaves a big gap

After the climax of the Endgame, many complained of a lack of tension and the threat of real danger in the MCU since the departure of Thanos. The mad titan truly posed an existential threat to the heroes of MCU, technically winning at least once.

Thanos was played by Josh Brolin, who also played Cable in Deadpool.

Excluding the issue of the main villain, many also complained about having disjointed stories across the universe and weak villains for many new heroes introduced in the fourth phase.

Kang the Conqueror rivals the Mad Titan

Amongst the many variants of He Who Remains that got out, one of them was Kang the Conqueror. He who remains described Kang as ruthless and power-hungry, as he was hellbent on conquering the Multiverse. Kang ends up taking He Who Remains’ position as the leader of the TVA.

“What I love is that [Kang]he’s totally different than Thanos. That he’s completely different, that it’s not just, ’How ‘bout… is there a bigger purple guy with a helmet.’ ……Kang is a very different type of villain and the fact that he is many, many different characters is what’s most exciting and most differentiates him.”
