Believe it or not, Monkey D. Luffy is at the center of the funniest moments featured in the Shonen series. While The Captian of the Straw Hat Pirates has showcased a fiery ambition to become the next Pirate King, there have been several instances where his stupidity was a bit too much to handle.

While there are a ton of moments to choose from, one interaction with Franky, the shipwright of The Straw Hat Pirates, during the Sabaody Archipelago Arc proves that he might be the stupidest Yonko to ever exist.

Monkey D. Luffy Proves Himself To Be The Dumbest Yonko in The One Piece Verse

Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece has been one of the most popular Shonen series that has been adored by fans for the last 2 decades. The title centers around Monkey D. Luffy, who seeks to become the next Pirate King.

During his epic journey, he managed to form a fantastic crew, who were immensely attracted by his adventurous spirit and helpful nature. In all probability, none of the crew members joined him because they were attracted to his genius.

While these scenes are merely to entertain the audience, sometimes the hero’s stupidity is a little over the top. A fan page (@zoro._.d.luffy) shared a clip on Instagram from the Sabaody Archipelago Saga, which featured the single brain cell moment between Luffy and Franky.

As fans would remember, the Straw Hat Pirates needed to coat their ship with a special coating to sail underwater. The scene showcased Luffy expressing his concern about how a certain someone was onboard their ship. The shipwright stated, “That’s Den-chan, Tom’s brother, my shipwright master, doing the recoating for us.”

However, that was too much information for The Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates to process. As a result, he replied, “Oh, I see! So he’s a shipwright who’s coating Franky’s brother.” For a brief moment, there was an awkward pause, during which the crewmate realized how silly it was for him to correct his captain.

Hence, he merely replied, “Yeah, something like that!” The conversation made Den-Chan flabbergasted, but this was quite normal for the crewmembers because they had grown used to tolerating his foolishness. Fans were quick to gather around the post as they recalled how hilarious this whole interaction was.
