Earlier this year, actress Keira Knightley appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show alongside fellow star Carrie Coon. During the conversation, Knightley talked about her first sober date with her husband, musician James Righton,

“I met my husband in a very drunken way. So, we were very drunk for our first few dates so we don’t really remember them but our first proper date – I said to him, ‘I love roller coasters.’ So he very sweetly decided to take me to a theme park just outside London where they have amazing roller coasters but he didn’t tell me that he’s completely terrified, like completely. So he was sort of white and shaking and sweating,” adding, “I’m just like, the happiness it’s like, ‘This is the most amazing thing’  and he literally looks like he’s gonna die – and he’s looked like that ever since.”

In May 2023, Keira Knightley and James Righton celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, with Knightley adding that it is “a miracle” that they made it.
