Chris Hemsworth will be essaying the role of Dementus, a powerful warlord of the Wasteland, who might have become somewhat of a fan favorite. Hemsworth is being praised for whatever little of him was seen in the trailer, that too in the guise of a full-fledged villain, a stark contrast from his more heroic and straightforward roles like in the MCU or Men In Black franchises.

Fans can’t help but praise Chris Hemsworth

“Chris Hemsworth looks like he is having a great time playing the villain” said the top comment on the trailer, from @aaronbeamesderfer2389, with over three thousand users agreeing with the comment.

@jacobruwer4691, another commenter on the trailer, unleashed a hilarious observation, saying “Chris Hemsworth finally just playing an Australian bloke”, noting how Hemsworth had to forgo masking his accent for his character, something he has done multiple times for previous roles.

Another fan, @96miffy, quipped, “Chris going full Aussie is the best”, highlighting the presence he had in the trailer, and how naturally the part of the hilariously evil warlord comes to him, while another comment made by @Celesfaar, referencing the old addage regarding heroes and villains, read “So, he lived long enought to become a villain. Cant wait to see this!”

Chris Hemsworth is one of the few actors today who can carry multiple franchises without breaking a sweat. A part of Mad Max franchise now, Hemsworth has become a part of a series of high-budget IPs like the MCU with his portrayal of Thor, Men in Black, and also the Extraction franchise for Netflix.

Hemsworth might not be on the younger side, but he is definitely cementing himself as being more bankable with more franchises that he does. Viewrship for his work is always large, even his lower yielding films easily making back the money that is put in them. Hemworth is also eyeing to do a more diverse portrayal of Thor in the MCU, opting for a darket take o his character after essaying the role in a Shakesperean and comedic capacity under two different directors.
