However, the biggest revelation that the chapter made was that besides Dr. Vegapunk and the former Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, there is one other character who knows the truth about the Void Century and probably the war that took place 800 years ago. The character in discussion is the current fleet admiral of the Navy, Sakazuki Akainu.

Akainu’s reaction to Dr. Vegapunk’s message has led fans to believe that he knows the entire mystery of the Void Century and the involvement of the World Government in hiding it from the entire world. Akainu knowing the truth of the Void Century and other mysteries can result in a big change in the One Piece narrative.

The Revelations Made by Dr. Vegapunk in One Piece, Chapter 1116

According to the recently released spoilers, Dr. Vegapunk has given out some new information. The first key information that Vegapunk reveals is that a fraction of the Mother Flame was stolen from his laboratory and used to fuel one of the Ancient Weapons. This Ancient Weapon is probably Uranus, as the other two are hidden safely.

His second revelation confirmed the use of Uranus for the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom. He also talked about how, although he does not know who used the Ancient Weapon and the Mother Flame. Because of this, the risk of the One Piece world sinking into the sea has once again increased a lot.

Finally, Dr. Vegapunk stated that Joy Boy planned to hand over all three Ancient Weapons to the younger generation, which makes him question who was good or bad. Regardless, the only people who knew the entire truth about all this were Gol D. Roger and his crew, but they chose to be silent about it.

Akainu Has Always Known The Truth About Void Century

Vegapunk’s message was delivered throughout the whole One Piece universe, and the responses were just as astonished as the One Piece fans. Everyone was shocked to find out the truth, except for fleet admiral Akainu. His reaction was pretty calm compared to his nature as he heard the revelations while sitting in the new Marineford.

This has led fans to believe that Akainu was already aware of the mysteries of the Void Century, the Ancient Kingdom, and the Ancient Weapons.

However, he still chose to be silent about it rather than confront the World Government for the monstrosities they have committed over the years with the people.

This certainly brings a big change in the story, as Akainu is the follower of absolute justice, and his main goal at all times is to eradicate evil from the world at all costs. Thus, there is a possibility that Akainu sees the steps taken by the World Government as a form of justice and puts an end to all the theories about the Navy conspiring against the World Government.
