“He would be easily an Akatsuki level member”: Naruto Fans Won’t Forgive Masashi Kishimoto for Killing an Insanely Strong Character Way Early in the Series Who Deserved Better

Masashi Kishimoto never pulled his punches in killing off characters in Naruto. No matter how much potential they may have possessed and all the fame they gathered from the fans if their purpose was complete, so would their role be in the manga for the most part. Jiraiya was one of the biggest examples of the same.

So much so that Kishimoto refused to bring him back again with the introduction of Edo Tensei. Many characters that were introduced seemed to be killed off rather quickly no matter how much potential they may have possessed. Kimimaro was a character filled with immense potential that was limited by his own sickness. As a trusted ally of Orochimaru, his villainy could have known no bounds.

Masashi Kishimoto’s Villain Who Died Too Soon

Kimimaro as a villain held immense power. He was able to hold his own against some of the strongest characters in Masashi Kishimoto’s series, all the while his body rapidly failed him. Despite being this daring force to be reconned with, he was plagued by his own illness. No matter how much he wished to achieve, his reduced health was an obstacle he could not overcome.

He was able to fight against Naruto, Rock Lee, and Gaara all by himself, only to meet his end because of an illness he had no power over. The very fact that the Sound Four would shake at his name despite how weak he had become was proof that at his best health, he would have been unstoppable.

The Sound Four were some extremely strong antagonists but Kimimaro had the potential to rival all of them, despite at one point being a part of them. He was able to function at a somewhat optimal level as even as his body rapidly grew weak. Needless to say, fans wanted to see more of him.

Kimimaro Could Have Been Much Stronger

Kimimaro was a character who was killed off too early in Naruto. No matter how much fans would have wanted to see him again, Masashi Kishimoto wasn’t one to bring him back. Especially when fans found themselves speculating just how powerful he could have been at full health.

His only weakness seemed to be his increasing health issues and were they ever out of the picture, Kimimaro would have been unstoppable. Many fans even wonder just how powerful he could have become, rivaling even the Akatsuki. Kishimoto could have easily used some form of plot armor to undo his illness or heal him.

He could have lived for longer and unlocked his true potential rather than dying with the fans being left with nothing but headcanons and possibilities that would never come true.

Naruto is available to watch on Netflix.
