This year, the talk show host took into account all the recent developments that occurred in the film industry, which included the snubbing of Greta Gerwig for Best Director, along with the recent failure of Dakota Johnson’s Madame Web at the box office. But amidst all of this, he also name-dropped Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey Bieber’s name in a very untasteful joke, and fans do not like it one bit.

At the end of his monologue, where he talks about the integrity and advancements in the film industry going forward with new talent taking charge after the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, the host commented, calling out Justin Bieber‘s wife Hailey Bieber while addressing the pretentiousness that Hollywood is also known for. In his monologue, He said:

“This stoppage has proved to us that in this strange town of ours, pretentious and superficial as it can be, at it’s heart is a unioin town. It’s not just a bunch of heavily botoxed, Hailey Bieber smoothie drinking, diabetes prescription abusing, gluten sensitive nepo babies with perpetually shivering chihuahuas.”

While the host also joked about Robert Downey Jr’s drug addiction and troubled past along with others, this particular name drop of Bieber was not received well by the fans of the singer or his wife.
