Helldivers 2 is an online multiplayer game published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 5 and PC platform. The gaming community adored the sequel and brought together two different platform users with the same goal of winning the Second Galactic War together by any means necessary.
The gaming community would call out to the game developers demanding better gear and equipment to improve their chances of winning the war. Regardless of what others may think, size and firepower matter and the gaming community hopes one game mechanic from the original game will make a comeback sooner rather than later.
Helldivers 2 Players Are Begging the Developers to Bring back an Original Game Mechanic
Sony Interactive Entertainment made the right move to team up with Arrowhead Game Studios with this new project and was the perfect attempt to dive into the live service structure. However, the game is far from perfect and some eagle-eyed players took the time to list the known issues in Helldivers 2 about the efficiency of weapons.
The original game featured an upgrading system that made sense at the time. Letting the gaming community improve their weapons at their leisure is a perfect way to encourage them to think outside the box and be more cautious about their resources and crafting parts.
Helldivers 2 should add a weapon upgrading system like in Helldivers 1.

Others even suggested using the requisition slips, an underutilized resource that can be spent on weapon parts and upgrades. It is one of the many ideas and concepts introduced in the original game that should have been carried over to the sequel.

The medals could be traded in for resources and parts after the developers make the necessary adjustments to increase the maximum capacity. It is time for Arrowhead Game Studios to prioritize the resource management of the sequel and give them perks to encourage the players to spend more time on the game and grind for these resources and make it worthwhile.
Players often complain about how the developers nerfed several primary weapons in the past and it affected the way certain players operate. Perhaps providing them with an in-game workbench to customize their loadout and stand out from the rest of the squad will increase the entertainment factor.
The Developers Should Consider Reflecting on Helldivers 1 for Future Content
Each side has an equal chance of winning, however, it will greatly depend on which side is more craftier and innovative. Certain enemy factions will take the gloves off and fight dirty and without remorse leaving players at a disadvantage following the rules of engagement.
Players will not hesitate to get their hands dirty if they want an edge against the enemy. The developers can only do so much to provide the gaming community with the proper tools and upgrades they need to help improve the war effort but it is time for them to give players the freedom to stand out.
The first Helldivers game featured great mechanics that can be improved in the sequel. Perhaps the developers should reconsider their options. Better gear means better chances of winning. Helldivers 2 upgrades are a necessity to win the war.
