Helldivers 2 is all about the chaos, carnage, and negative effects of intergalactic warfare and some players believe they should be better equipped and dressed for the occasion. Fighting aliens for the planet’s freedom can be tough but this suggestion can be a massive help.

The suits and armor are fine the way they are, however, some players are advocates for improvement and change. Armor sets have their perks but vary depending on what a squad is up against and fans believe there is one passive perk that would greatly benefit these armor sets.

Arrowhead Game Studios is doing a stellar job with a unique approach to designing in-game cosmetic items. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as perfection and some players have noticed a few issues regarding the armor sets in Helldivers 2 especially coming back from a battle with no dirt or blood stains. This may not be a big deal for the casual player but it does break immersion which can take away the experience of being in the game rather than playing it.

The absence of any stain or damage taken from battles can be distracting from a visual point of view, however, there are more pressing technical matters that need to be attended to. Players suggest that a new passive perk should allow players to be immune to EMS.

Another player even doubled down on the suggestion and wearing these armor sets should at least grant the players protection from half of the incoming damage. This idea would benefit the gaming community and make these armor sets more viable in combat encounters.

Armors were meant to reduce the damage from incoming harm. The players are not asking the developers to buff these sets and make them invincible but these perks that will grant them immunity from EMS are sound and make sense.

Adding these perks will save the players time and could be a great effort to the developers’ mission in their balancing and scaling efforts. Arrowhead Game Studios envisioned the game to be a semi-realistic version of what intergalactic warfare would look like but taking away the fun can be a hard sell.

There is a strong likelihood that the developers wouldn’t consider this suggestion. Friendly fire is enabled for a realistic experience, Johan Pilestedt will not tolerate players killing each other but orbital EMS strikes can be harder to control than aiming a rifle.

Perhaps the developers can find some middle ground and honor this idea in a way that wouldn’t contradict the vision. Reducing damage is a reasonable suggestion that staves off any more lethal harm for a player and his squad while on a mission.

These armor pieces can be more than flashy suits for players to don during a mission. They could have more uses and benefit the community with these simple suggestions.

Arrowhead Game Studios should at least consider it. These suggestions come from a place of concern.
