Helldivers 2 is a title that has seen better days regarding user retention. Players are jumping ship and abandoning Arrowhead’s PvE title as they feel the game is beyond unplayable.
However, the players still playing the game are greeted by glitches and technical bugs. Another was reported on the game’s subreddit recently, which was hilarious but must have ruined the player’s experience.

The Heldlivers 2 subreddit is a place for every Diver to raise awareness of the game’s many issues, discuss the lore, share memes, and joke around. Recently, many posts regarding the game’s deplorable state have been made.
Among all these, a user posted gameplay footage of themself. In the footage, the extraction shuttle that is supposed to be boarded by the player acts weird and, in typical Cyberpunk 2077 launch fashion, falls through the ground instead:
Update: They added quicksand as a new environmental hazard!

After the shuttle defies the laws of physics in the footage, the player manages to board it by getting into a prone position first. As expected, the Helldivers 2 community on Reddit played along with the post’s subject matter and its sarcastic tone.
Another user played along with the post’s title by writing the following:

A user even quoted The New Testament after seeing the footage:

Some other users, however, identified genuine problems that currently plague Helldivers 2, for example, the lack of a button that would allow Divers to board the shuttle:

Arrowhead seems unable to read the pulse of the game’s community, as the current state of Helldivers 2 is incredibly different from when it first came out.

As per the popular Steam analytics website SteamDB, the game’s player count has dropped exponentially. In fact, as per the statistics on Steam alone, the game lost two-thirds of its players between May and July.
The reason for that seems evident when one looks at the game’s subreddit. Various posts regarding the game’s playability have been published in the past month.
Helldivers 2 is the most fun game I've played in 10 years but it's literally unplayable

It also seems like things are getting worse and worse for the game. Like the above post, players are not only mentioning that their incredibly powerful PCs are unable to play Helldivers 2 without issues, but posts about frequent crashes are relatively common on the subreddit, too:
