With the Terminid threat growing again, Helldivers 2 players desperately need a new “Orbital Tesla Strike” Stratagem that allows them to electrify/burn their enemies to death. Currently, Helldivers 2 has three Arc-based weapons/Stratagems: ARC-12 Blitzer, ARC-3 Arc Thrower, and Tesla Tower. Not many players prefer to use these weapons on the battlefield, but they should, especially the ARC-3 Arc Thrower, if they are dealing with small enemies.

Players on social media hope to see a better, more effective Stratagem that does electrical damage without getting destroyed on the battlefield like the Tesla Tower. Players have suggested that the “Orbital Tesla Strike” could be a Stratagem that does heavy electrical damage to bugs to burn them completely. This Stratagem is a necessity since the Terminid faction has been evolving and there are rumors about Hive-Lords’ introduction, so Arrowhead should use this opportunity to experiment with electricity-based Stratagems.

A short video clip of a person killing bugs with an electric fly swatter is currently trending on the r/Helldivers2 subreddit. This post gave the community a lot of ideas surrounding a new electricity-based Stratagem since players only have Tesla Tower and ARC-3 Arc Thrower to damage enemies with electrical charges. A player suggested that Arrowhead should create something called an “Orbital Tesla Strike.

A strong electricity-based strike on a particular spot would definitely be helpful on the battlefield. One player also suggested that an electric net launcher, basically a bigger version of the electric fly swatter would also be an exciting addition to the game. Arrowhead should focus more on Arc-based weapons/Stratagems since they are quite unpopular among the community but that can be easily fixed with slight improvements.

Arc-based weapons will be effective against all the new threats

It’s quite evident that both the factions in Helldivers 2 are evolving day-by-day but this will get out of hand as a new, terrifying threat might be coming to the game soon. Players have come across some boreholes in the game that make some strange noises. Many are convinced that this is a hint that Hive-Lords are coming to the game soon to support the Terminid faction. These massive sandworms were featured in the first Helldivers game and it’s safe to say that they’re not easy to take down.

Now is the best time to add a new Arc-based weapon as it would not only be effective against new Terminid units but also against the Illuminate, the third rumored faction of the game. The Illuminate is a strong faction but it is weak against Arc-based weapons, so Arrowhead needs to add more of these weapons.
