The missions in the game are very important and the game shows that on the loading screen with a tip reading “Every Mission Matters.” However, fans now think that it is a lie and every mission does not matter after all and there are few select ones that are important in Helldivers 2.

Helldivers 2 Fans Think They Have Been Lied to About Missions

One Helldivers 2 player took to the r/Helldivers subreddit and shared a long post saying that the players have been lied to by the developer and every mission doesn’t matter in the game. They said that according to what is displayed to the players, only chain missions matter. The user said that currently if players complete 2 missions in a chain but fail the third, they get no credit for the failed missions.

They also added that no Liberation Points are rewarded to players towards the goal for failing the third mission, making it seem like the other two missions do not exist. The player said that they are okay with taking a penalty for the failed mission but the last two missions not counting towards the goal is not right and “feels like a suckerpunch to the gut.”

The majority of the Helldivers 2 players have agreed to the user and have said that not every player has the time to complete the whole operation and the developers should take notice of this, adding that even a small contribution would be nice. One player said jumping into a mission to help a fellow Helldivers “doesn’t really do much to impact the overall War Effort if one mission is a failure.”

The Fans Have an Idea to Counter This Problem

Fans want to be rewarded with Liberation Points for each mission.
Fans want to be rewarded with Liberation Points for each mission.

The user said that developers need to fix this and they should rewarded players Liberation Points for every completed mission in a chain, “with a BONUS upon completing ALL MISSIONS IN A CHAIN.” They said that all the players do not play at the same time and many of them need to go to work or school.

If this is implemented, then only “Every Mission Matters” would be true. They said that this change would help players even if the host leaves and if they have contributed to a completed mission, their rewards would mean that they haven’t wasted their time.

The player also acknowledged that this would not solve the Liberation Percentage being as per total players, this would mean that every mission players try to complete and succeed in, would help spread the Democracy. This would actually make sense and players are begging Arrowhead to listen to this.
