Helldivers 2 has been a revelation in 2024, but there are quite a few Helldivers 2 stratagems that still require fine-tuning by the developers. With Arrowhead Game Studios doing a tremendous job on the game, complaints do not go unnoticed.
So, now that the issue has been brought to the attention of the governing body of managed democracy, Helldivers can expect the stratagem issue to be resolved quickly.
While there has been no official update regarding the guilty stratagem as of yet, players can expect that the developers will fix the issue soon, even though it is not a critical issue in terms of gameplay.
Helldivers 2 Stratagem Fails To Do as It’s Supposed To
Helldivers 2 may be one of the hottest games on the market now, but that doesn’t make it immune to stray fault. One such is the Eagle 500kg stratagem. It is supposed to deal insane damage to enemies in a particular area. However, with extremely small impact radius and insane damage drop-off, it is more of a show-off than an effective one.
One fan took to Reddit to explain that the stratagem at least needs an increased damage range, if not a direct increase in damage. With extremely small area of impact, the stratagem does little to no damage to enemies that are as close as 15 meters away.
This comment to the post perfectly summed up everybody’s issue with this particular Helldivers 2 stratagem. ‘Dropping bricks’ is the perfect analogy that the Eagle 500kg does currently in the game. Apart from the impact of the Hellpod, the damage output for the stratagem, especially to anything outside the drop hitbox, is negligible.
This obviously feels like a tarnation to gamers, as they expect 500kgs of explosive charge to at least clear out a significant area on the battlefield instead of barely staggering a few.
And it is not just the strategems in the fan crosshairs, as multiple reports emerge of players having unsatisfactory experiences with weapons too. This has led to fans demanding they be allowed to review the weapons of Helldivers 2 in the game itself.
Of Late, Issues Have Been Multiplying in Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 grabbed headlines for all the right reasons back when it launched. Since then, it has faced its fair share of issues and has emerged with flying colors from most of them. However, of late, things have been pretty precarious. This has led to Helldivers 2 facing a significant drop in active players.
Whether Arrowhead Game Studios will be able to ride out this constant onslaught of fan dissatisfaction remains to be seen. Everything that the game had initially promised is starting to unravel due to issues that are not necessarily linked to the game itself.
Yes, we are talking about the account-linking fiasco that prohibited a number of players from playing the game.
