Part of Helldivers 2’s community was vicious with the dev team and Sony for attempting to make players link their PSN accounts to play the game on PC. After the situation escalated to a dangerous level, both the development team and the players were shocked to learn that Sony was reversing its previous stance. Everything cools off, and Arrowhead Game Studios is working hard to move on from this conflict.

Johan Pilestedt, the studio’s CEO, uploaded a post on X showing some flowers that the team received in the offices. This occurred just as Sony backtracked on its decision.

Pilestedt posted this in an attempt to put the past behind him. Many users on X commend the studio for putting an end to the ongoing conflict. Others continue to believe that the studio’s handling of Discord was less than professional.

Last week, Pilestedt was trying really hard to calm things down. The popular CEO shared ways to make the complaints heard by Sony, and he also gave as many answers as he could. However, as the conflict continued to escalate, he decided to leave the Discord server, not knowing how to talk to the fans who were being very irrational. On X, numerous users reminded Pilestedt of the issues with some CMs in the studio and some controversy.

The responses to the Pilestedt post mentioned how the Discord CMs allegedly harassed people, and others said that they even invented allegations about certain people. However, once Arrowhead Game Studios resolved the issue, both the team and the fans remained focused on playing and enjoying the game. Players eagerly anticipate the resolution of this issue, particularly given its minimal impact on the game’s sales.

Helldivers 2 is about to launch its new Warbond, which will include many new features such as capes, weapons, grenades, and armor. Fans are still hoping to see new enemies inside the game that are not the Automatons or the bugs. There are rumors about new vehicles that could be added in the next few months, as well as the possibility of new stratagems that could help the players spread democracy easier.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
