However, some issues are making players frustrated and the vast variety of tools available is less than expected. The main blame goes to the Mines which are nothing but a nuisance to the players.

Helldivers 2 Players Want the Developers to Fix a Specific Stratagem

Helldivers 2‘s Super Earth is the one that provides all the missions and equipment to its elite soldiers, helldivers. Yet when it comes to the equipment, just like the missions, some are super useful and some are drastically bad, like the mines.

Even since the release, players have been frustrated about this Helldivers 2 stratagem as it is not only useless if the enemy does not move through the area but can also kill your teammates (amidst the fast-paced battles).

Many players have even accidentally killed their teammates because the mines are simply not visible (sometimes resulting in getting kicked out of the team) unless the teammate knows the general area where it is placed.

With the recent thread on Reddit by __________godlol, asking players what are the worst stratagems, the answer for most of the community was the mine. Players want developers to make the mine viable so that they have more choices.

This thread shows that players are frustrated and want to see developers bring some changes to the mines. The comment also highlights that if the stratagem was balanced and did not pose a threat to the team, players would have picked the mines over other things.

Arrowhead Needs to Step Up and Show Commitment

Arrowhead Game Studios has been fairly active in admitting to issues and providing quick and fair fixes to many of them. However, due to controversies like Sony’s PSN account debacle and content drought (repetitive missions), the Helldivers 2 playerbase is seeing a drastic decline overall.

After the controversies, Arrowhead has become more transparent with players, listening to additional feedback and implementing changes accordingly. The devs have also rewarded players’ efforts by changing the narrative in-game (opening youth camps) and making changes to the stratagems.

So it is time for Arrowhead to once again listen to the playerbase and bring the much-needed changes to the mine stratagem, making them useful.

In the end, players can only hope that the developers listen to their feedback, and when introducing new things, keep those in mind.
