The fight for democracy in Helldivers 2 has been going strong, and despite the Automatons coming back and attacking, the players are relentlessly going against them. Helldivers have a lot of powerful guns and other weapons in their armory that are at their disposal to take care of bugs and bots.
Players love hating on these bots and bugs and enjoy killing them, even outside their jobs. However, Helldivers have come across one weapon that is just too powerful for any of the enemies in the game, and to such an extent that they might just be feeling bad for these evil aliens.
Helldivers 2 Players Find Spear Too Powerful, Even for the Bugs
Spear is a powerful support weapon in Helldivers 2 available to players once they reach level 20, and it is usually suitable to be used against big-sized bugs and bots. It is an anti-armor rocket launcher and is deadly against heavily armored enemies like tanks, Gunships, and dropships.
The launcher can also be used against chargers, bile titans, automaton fabricators, and hulks. One player shared a clip on Reddit titled “Spear needs a nerf,” showing them using Spear against mutating Jumper Titans. The player locked the rocket launcher onto the titan and blew it up in one shot, which resulted in the bug getting thrown over the head of the player onto the generators.
However, the Helldivers 2 player failed the objective. The player said that Spear is too powerful and also seemingly felt bad for the bug, adding that Spear is too much and “even the mutating jumper titans don’t stand a chance.”
This isn’t the first time players have complained about Spear, as they had previously termed the weapon “broken.” Many players said that the weapon being powerful is good for the game, and some complained that it messes up the challenge.

Even in this discussion about the weapon and the chaotic death of the bug, the community was able to find amusement. Redditor u/HappyLittleGreenDuck called the bile titan the player killed “a legend.” “Terminids across the galaxy will be remembering the titan who thwarted the Helldivers in its heroic death throes,” they added.
Another player jumped in, saying, “That was some crazy Matrix Titan.” Players said that the death animations, especially for Biles and Charger, make players wonder if they will start to “fly or start break dancing or do crazy stuff” upon being killed.

One player added, “The most dangerous enemy known to man is, as usual, the bile titan’s corpse physics.” Fans even shared how the death of the bugs has affected the players, with u/TragicFisherman saying that once their teammate shot a bile titan with a quasar cannon, the bug was thrown onto them, eventually killing them.
Another player said that they had been thrown into the sky because of their corpse, calling the bugs “the goofiest enemies in the game.”
