Neon White is one of the most unique ‘shooters’ out there. The anime-style first-person game has you using cards to defeat enemies and progress through the level as fast as possible, making it a haven for speedrunners.
Even after being announced for the Xbox, the game has been taking its sweet time to arrive. According to leaks, after two long years of waiting, the wait might be over. Get your cards ready and experience this wild ride of a game on the big screen.

Thanks to TrueAchievements‘ sleuthing, we might be getting the game on Microsoft’s gaming consoles quite soon.
The site reportedly found information on the game’s achievements that’ll be on the console. There are 44 achievements, of which 11 are secret, totaling up to 1,000 Gamerscore.
The weirdest part of the story is that this isn’t a complete surprise. Almost a year ago, in June 2023, the gaming brand revealed in its ID@Xbox montage that Neon White would be coming to Game Pass on the day they launched it on the console.
What we didn’t know was that it would take this long for its debut. We’re unsure if Microsoft will hold up its end of the bargain and put it on Game Pass day one, but it seems likely.
With the achievements for the game out, it could be possible that the game comes out on Game Pass either next month in July or the month after.
While this is no Helldivers 2, which fans have been eagerly awaiting to hit Microsoft’s gaming console, it is definitely a start in the right direction.

From the ground up, Neon White is made for speedrunning. It’s fast-paced and simple in concept but with unlimited possibilities on how you can proceed.
The game, developed by Angel Matrix and published by Annapurna Interactive, was first released on PC and Steam before coming to PS4 and PS5 later. According to the Steam synopsis:
You are White, an assassin handpicked from Hell to compete with other demon slayers for a chance to live permanently in Heaven. The other assassins seem familiar, though…
It’s not just a “shoot enemies and move on” type of game. It uses a combination of platforming, puzzles, and action in the best way possible, to deliver one of the most innovative shooters we’ve seen in a long time.
The game scored 89 from critic reviews and 8.4 from user reviews on Metacritic. While the story may not be its highlight, it’s worth trying for the gameplay alone, not to mention the amazing soundtrack.
After reading all of this, would you be willing to give the game a shot? If you’ve already played it, what did you think about it? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
