Helldivers 2’s recent content updates have made that game more enjoyable for many players since stratagems are now a bit more balanced, and Arrowhead has promised that there are a lot of new gameplay features to look forward to. However, despite the balance changes and seasonal updates, a lot of players find the game in a broken state, and there seem to be no fixes in sight.

A player on Reddit has written about the severity of these issues, and it’s high time the developers work on these problems and takes them seriously. Otherwise, the once beloved live service title might just be headed for a downfall it cannot come back from.

Bugs and Glitches Are Acting as Trouble in Paradise for Arrowhead

From bugs that are fun to bugs that destroy the gameplay experience, Helldivers 2 has come a long way.

Helldivers 2 has recently introduced a lot of balance changes, thanks to a patch that focused on stratagems and damage effects. However, due to endless bugs and glitches that make the game unplayable, these updates hold little to no value.

This has been pointed out in detail by Redditor Mike_Zacowski, as they wrote about a list of issues the game seems to be having at the moment. From constant crashes to in-game damage to players that seems to be coming out of nowhere, the game appears to be in a broken state that developers are working on a fix for.

Johan Pilestedt, the face of the studio is often transparent about ongoing problems with the game and how the team chooses to address it. But, lately, it seems that the game’s social media presence isn’t reflecting (or communicating) these troubles at full length. Instead, it’s almost as if Arrowhead is trying to ignore these.

With more than 1000 upvotes, this Reddit post is quickly becoming an online space for conversations regarding the game’s problems. Players can’t help but agree with the constant issues the game seems to be throwing at them, and there’s little to no word about it from the developers.

Helldivers 2 Is an Example of the Boon and Bane That Is a Live-Service Game

Despite the game’s exceptional reception across multiple platforms, Helldivers 2’s live-service nature may just hurt it more than help the experience. In hopes of keeping the game fresh and interesting, developers seem to churn out new content every now and then. However, this likely won’t give the team enough time to fix issues that already exist.

Even if it does, the constant pressure of releasing new content may just introduce new problems to the game than solve older ones. Not only does this hurt the gameplay experience overall, but it also damages the reputation of a beloved studio like Arrowhead.

At the time of writing, the game doesn’t have a patch that fixes these problems and the studio is working on it. Hence, it’s best to wait until Arrowhead addresses these issues and brings an update that helps players have a smoother experience with the game.
