Henry Cavill after his short-lived dream with DC revealed that he would not play Superman as he was dropped from the role by James Gunn due to his vision of creating a new DC universe. Cavill announced his departure from The Witcher in October 2022 as he was to reprise his role as Superman, but even after he was dropped his statement did not change. So Henry Cavill will not return as Geralt of Rivia and nor as Kal-El of Krypton.

After this fiasco, Henry Cavill teamed up with Amazon Studios and Vertigo Entertainment and stroke a deal with Games Workshop to gather the rights for adapting the popular game Warhammer 40,000 into a seriesHenry Cavill will star in the show and also be its executive producer.

Warhammer Cinematic Universe: A New Beginning for Henry Cavill

Amazon Studios has recently secured the rights to Warhammer 40,000, a popular tabletop wargame while teaming up with Henry Cavill and Vertigo Entertainment. They plan on bringing it to the screens after they faced a lot of competition yet they secured the deal. The game has been Cavill’s favorite since he was a child, and it is rumored that he could be playing the role of Gregor Eisenhorn, an Imperial Inquisitor. Though Amazon Studios has not yet released any official statement related to the adaptation, it is only a matter of time.

Warhammer 40,000 has a large fanbase and they are very much relying on Henry Cavill to uplift their favorite game as an adaptation once again. In a video that elaborated on Henry Cavill’s active role in making the Warhammer 40,000, many comments showed their gratitude towards him. Some of the comments were asking him for help – “Help us, Henry! You are our last hope”, “Help Henry!!! You are our only help.”, whereas some speculate which role he will play – “Henry would make a great Caphaius Cain”, “Cavil is the 21 son of the emperor Change my mind”, “I hope he plays lion el Johnson”, while others thank him – “Thank you”, “FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!”, “The most glowing man with superpower”.

Henry Cavill Turns Underdog Projects Into Global Sensations

Henry Cavill from the very day he was cast as Geralt of Rivia, poured his heart and soul into playing his role in The Witcher. Even before the show was declared to be produced he was pushing it from the background. He transformed a novel and some short stories by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski into what it is now, a global sensation. The first season of The Witcher stands at fifth position in a list containing the most watched shows on Netflix and the second season at tenth. The first season reportedly made $400,000 per episode and the second made a big jump at a staggering $1 million per episode.

He is very much motivated to introduce the Warhammer Cinematic Universe, as many speculate that it could rival Kevin Feige’s MCU and James Gunn’s DCEU. Well, Amazon Studio did not just buy the rights for a tv series, they bought the whole global rights that include the universal rights for TV shows, movies, games, and animations.
