Mission Impossible can not avoid the astounding action scenes, grandeur stunts, and excellent action choreography. In Henry Cavill’s tenure in the franchise, the actor was also seen engaging in action sequences which included the arm reloading scene in the bathroom alongside Tom Cruise that spread like wildfire in terms of winning the hearts of fans.

But imagine a hypothetical real-life fight between the actors. Who would win? The same question arose when Cavill appeared in an episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan when Kelly asked about the potential winner. Cavill rather had a hilarious reply to that.

“What we’d probably do is, we’d call in a makeup team, and then we’d cover ourselves in cuts and bruises and have our hair look perfect like we just tussled enough and then stand up and tell a great story about it,” Cavill said.

Undeniably, Cavill has an astonishing physique. The Superman actor, however, would not want to be in a brawl with Cruise. The reason is evident in Cruise’s ability to swing his arm to throw a punch at any given time. Regardless, Cavill’s humble reply won the loud cheers in the audience of the show.

It was never easy to pull off the infamous bathroom brawl in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. “Wade Eastwood and his team (Eastwood Action Stunts) put the fight together over the course of shooting early in the movie,” Cavill told Collider in an interview. Explaining how they pulled the scene off, Cavill said:

“Tom and I had slightly different schedules so we worked with each other’s respective doubles for training purposes and then with Liang Yang directly as well because he was actually the guy who would be giving us a hiding! We trained and got the fight choreography and the various stunts drilled into our muscle memory during any moments that we could get away from the shooting schedule.”

The actor went on to add, “Overall the bathroom fight took 4 weeks to shoot, which, for a scene as intense as that, definitely felt uncomfortably long.” Despite tedious and uncomfortably long hours, the best memory was “when Tom and I finally confessed to each other how much pain we were in.” The actor further revealed that it was during the last day of shooting.
