Unlike many who are waiting outside of Apple stores to become the first customers of their new products, these celebrities have proudly chosen Samsung over iPhones.
iPhones Don’t Interest Hollywood Star, Henry Cavill
British actor Henry Cavill, known for portraying the DC superhero Superman, is popular among his fans for many things, whether it’s his on-screen roles or his interest in games or fantasy book series. Apart from these, his choice of phones has also made him a fan favorite.
The actor is a proud Samsung Galaxy user and has reportedly been seen using it on several occasions, as per The Things. He is also known for using Google Pixel phones. The Man of Steel shared a picture of himself from the set of The Witcher, in which he is seen holding a Pixel phone.
After Netfllix shared that image on X (formerly known as Twitter), fans were confused if it was a “Google Pixel product placement?” However, it seems that the Mission Impossible actor genuinely loves the brand, and he doesn’t need an iPhone to preserve his star image.
Millie Bobby Brown Did Not Use iPhones For a While
Henry Cavill’s Enola Holmes co-star Millie Bobby Brown is also known for being a proud Android user. The actress who rose to prominence playing the lead character, Eleven, in the Netflix series Stranger Things, has collaborated with several major brands, including Samsung Galaxy.
The 19-year-old actress served as an ambassador for the brand and has been known for using it for a while. However, during her recent interview with Glamour, she was seen using an iPhone. While Bobby Brown may have eventually shifted to using the iPhone, she was once a dedicated Samsung user.
Ellen DeGeneres Once Roasted iPhone
Ellen DeGeneres was known as one of the best talk show hosts until she got involved in a scandal regarding the treatment of her employees. However, long before that, she famously took out a Galaxy Note to capture Hollywood stars presented at the Oscars in 2014.
Later, she went on to roast the brand on her TheEllenShow soon after the launch of the iPhone X. Talking about the brand-new model at the time, she stated, “The X stands for expensive.” She also went on to elaborate on the designs and new features of the model, which introduced facial recognition.
“All you have to do is scan your face once. And then again after you get a haircut. And then again after you get a nose job. And then again after you buy a hat,” she said. While she did roast the brand, DeGeneres has been an iPhone user for a while.
After she took the selfie at the Academy Awards, the comedian initially got quite the heat as she reportedly was an iPhone user at the time. Later it was revealed that she was handed the Samsung phone because it was one of the sponsors of the event.
