Henry Cavill discussed his dream roles back in 2011. He explained the types of roles he would like to take up in the future. The Enola Holmes actor has one specific character in his mind and he wishes to play it on the big screen someday. The 40-year-old actor said he wants to play the role of Alexander the Great. While talking about his dream role, he said,

“I’ve always had a soft spot for Alexander the Great. It’ll be years before anybody tries that again. I’ll keep my legs in shape for when they do!”

Many people believe that Cavill would be the ideal choice to portray the famous figure of Alexander the Great. The Enola Holmes actor is tall, attractive, in good physic, and has the acting talent to play the role of the former king of Macedonia.

Henry Cavill confirmed in an Instagram post that he will not return as Superman

A shocking Instagram post on Enola Holmes 2 actor’s Instagram made it official that the British actor will not be seen as Superman anymore. In an Instagram post, Cavill wrote,

“I will, after all, not be returning as Superman. After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life. The changing of the guard is something that happens. I respect that. James and Peter have a universe to build.”

Superman fans expressed their sadness over Cavill’s exit from the series on the internet. Many netizens commented that the film series will not be the same without the Immortals actor. James Gunn on the other side said they didn’t fire Cavill and explained to the fans why he cannot be a part of the Superhero series anymore. While talking about the Stardust actor Gunn said,

“We didn’t fire Henry. For me, it’s about who do I want to cast as Superman and who do the filmmakers we have want to cast. And for me, for this story, it isn’t Henry.”

Gunn also said that Superman cannot be for Cavil for many other reasons. Reportedly, Gunn is working on the upcoming Superman movie but who will replace the Sand Castle actor is not confirmed yet.
