Netflix has announced that The Witcher will return for season 4 but their frontman will not. Henry Cavill announced that he will not be returning to reprise his role as Geralt in the upcoming seasons due to undisclosed circumstances. Though he did not give an exact reason for his departure from the show, it is widely speculated that he wanted to focus more on his role as Superman and also because he was unsatisfied with the show producers as they changed the plot and did not follow the original source content.

Later it was announced that Hemsworth will be taking over Cavill’s role as Geralt from season 4. Henry Cavill has portrayed Geralt of Rivia up to season 3, which will be released later this year. Though the Man of Steel actor said he would see through the whole 7 seasons of the series, his exit was very sudden. The show faced some criticism after Cavill’s exit and will star Hemsworth in the upcoming seasons.
