There was a rumor about the Behind the Candelabra actor that he and his co-star Eva Mendes were stuck on each other. But in an interview with Playboy, Damon confirmed that it wasn’t true. Mendes was Damon’s co-star in the 2003 movie Stuck on You. That’s why he was questioned in the interview whether he had fallen for the actress.

“I don’t want to talk about Eva’s personal life, but she has been in a serious relationship for years. I’m friends with her boyfriend; his nickname is the Invisible Man. It’s funny that she’s constantly being linked to people, but George, her boyfriend, is always there.”

At that time, Mendes was in a relationship with George Augusto. She had a nine-year relationship (2002-2011) with the Peruvian producer before they broke up. She told Hollywood Life she wasn’t keen on marriage during their relationship. Although she is now married to the Barbie actor Ryan Gosling.

As for Matt Damon, he has strong views against dating co-stars.

He was earlier in a relationship with Minnie Driver, too (his then-girlfriend and co-star in Good Will Hunting). After breaking up with Driver, the actor said he hasn’t felt excited about being in a movie and falling in love with a co-star since then.

Now, Damon is married to Luciana Barroso (since 2005), and the duo shares four daughters.
