Brian Cox Doesn’t Believe Clint Eastwood Could Fit in Succession

During an interview, the 77-year-old actor Brian Cox went on to claim that he could easily adapt to a Clint Eastwood movie, but the Unforgiven star might not be able to do the same for his popular TV series Succession. The Succession star shared that he would love to work with the Hollywood star.

However, he doesn’t believe that he could do it anymore as the Dirty Harry star is “about to do his last film.” While he did not have the opportunity to work with the actor himself, Cox has shared that his character in the 2020 crime drama Prisoner’s Daughter allows him to portray a quite similar character to Eastwood’s role in Unforgiven.

Talking about the Oscar-winning actor, Cox shared that he believes that he could hack into the Cry Macho star’s movies. However, he also stated Eastwood might not be able to do the same for Succession. “I don’t think it’s his métier,” he said during his interview.

Cox further stated, “He’s a man of few words, and I think he’s learned that over the years. Actually, he’s a man of specific words, shall we say.” He also mentioned that he loved the 1992 Western drama, not only because of Eastwood but also because of Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman.

Brian Cox Wants to Work With So Many Actors

During a decades-long career, Brian Cox has worked with several actors. However, he has shared that he has a long list of the people, he wants to work with. During an interview with The Guardian, he shared, “There’s a lot of actors who are long dead.”

Cox further stated that he would have loved to work with Spencer Tracy, Marlon Brando, or Katharine Hepburn, which would have allowed him to observe and learn more from them. Although he shared that he has worked with some of the great actors in the industry, he also wished to be able to star alongside Meryl Streep.
